✓ It takes a few sessions to complete this project, approximately 6–8 hours total.
✓ Recommended for ages 9 and up. Younger kids will need some adult support to work with the tools and make sure all safety rules are followed.
✓ Kids are able to do it on independently by simply following the workbook and the videos, however we highly recommend that you join them on this adventure. Together you will discover additional layers of the program and have fun bonding as you learn and create alongside one another.
✓ Designs shown in the photos are samples. Use your imagination and follow the tips to create your own!
ADDITIONAL TIPS
✓ Consider purchasing a standard 12'' x12'' concrete paver stone from your local construction supplies store to install your mosaic in the garden or create a pathway across the lawn. Follow the guide on the last page of the workbook to complete the installation.
✓ For installing your mosaic tile onto the exterior wall consider using construction adhesive.
SAFETY INFORMATION
✓ This project contains small parts. Keep the glass, all small parts, glue and paint out of reach of small children and pets.
✓ We have tumbled the glass pieces you’ll find in a kit, which means the edges are less sharp than those of glass that is just cut or broken. However, please make sure you have access to clean water and a first aid kit with bandages when you start working on mosaic.

I'll be honest, I opened the boxes when they first arrived and closed them again because I got scared of the lesson! But after your (RAP) workshop at the school, I thought I'd try the stepping stone project after all. This was a great project to do! The online content helped with understanding the history of mosaic art and what it can produce just with little pieces of tessera. What I liked was the realization of the art the students viewed in the lessons was a more difficult process than they originally thought. Being able to learn about the history and actually doing the project themselves gave the students a much deeper appreciation and understanding of artists and their craft. All my students said it was hard, but they were very proud of their finished product! I really appreciate Rainforest Art Project to help bring art back into our classroom. It's hard enough to teach all subjects every day. Your program helps lighten a load by integrating some of our 4th grade social studies curriculum and art with all the materials provided! A beautiful mosaic kit with everything needed to complete your project, including tools. I bought two kits and made a larger project more than twice as big, so I needed more grout to match and the company was wonderful to work with to get me what I needed to create my work of art. This is my first mosaic. I've been working on it for a couple days. The kit came with everything I needed. The Youtube link helped with questions I had. For me the hardest part was drawing the design on the tile. The tracing paper is a good start but would been easier if it had the transfer type that you could trace it to tile instead of having to cut imagine and trace.
