Ibarra Elementary School “Jeff” The Iguana and “Humble Bee”

In a project spanning 2 years, the 3rd grade class at Ibarra Elementary School in City Heights of San Diego worked with the Rainforest Art Project to create one of the most stunning pieces the Rainforest Art Project has ever done. This was a very exciting project for the approximate one hundred and fifty students that participated. Not only did they learn about mosaic techniques, but they also learned about iguanas and their habitats as part of a 15 week in class Rainforest curriculum. This amazing piece is proudly displayed in a prominent area of the campus for everyone to appreciate.
